Doctor Whooch

In which Brandon and Danica talk about their sexy crush on a certain spaceman. No, not that spaceman.

This week, we're watching Torchwood (specifically the first two episodes of Series One, "Everything Changes" and "Day One"), which unsurprisingly goes really well with being drunk. In short order, Brandon serenades the audience, and Danica lets him. Then things got weird.

In which Brandon and Danica don't remember some things until they do.

In this episode, we finally dig into some old Who, starting with the classic William Hartnell serial "The Aztecs". They also talk about that one time Steve Buscemi was in Doctor Who. Or, okay, Brandon does. He was pretty drunk, you guys.

This very special episode features Jessica, Emma, and Katie from the afroementioned Boozy Boob Tube (which you should be watching!) and a heaping helping of conversation about this year's amazing Doctor Who Christmas Special. Also, everyone is good and toasty and someone's relative is wrong about pretty much everything. Just so you know.

In which there is also shenanigans and chicanery.

On this week's show, Brandon and Danica talk about things happening NOW! For the first time ever! They talk about "The Day of the Doctor" (which they saw live in theatre with a bunch of their friends), "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot", and "An Adventure In Space And Time" - which we all delightful in their own way. They also get super tired, because they did all of that in one day, and rode a horse-and-cart. It was awesome.

In which Brandon and Danica can't remember your names. We're looking at you, Sarah Jessica Miller.

On this week's show, Danica fixes another broken part of Brandon, as he finally finishes his exploration of the Eccleston series with "Bad Wolf" (Series 1, Episode 12) and "The Parting of The Ways" (Series 1, Episode 13) and finds it to be quite fantastic. Then, they talk about "Age of Steel" (Series 2, Episode 6... or 7 if you count the Christmas Special) and they don't get distracted by James Wolk at all. At. ALL.

In which Brandon needs to learn how to talk.

On this week's show, Danica and Brandon celebrate the Twelfth Doctor (sort of) by watching "The Fires of Pompeii" (Series 4, Episode 2), but not Peter Capaldi's episodes of Torchwood, because Brandon is horrible and hasn't watched them yet. On a similar note, Brandon continues his first watch through of Series One with "Boomtown" (Series 1, Episode 11). That's a pun, you see. They also talked about their various travels through space, but not time.

And remember: if you're in Edmonton on the weekend of November 16th and 17th, make sure you stop by Pure Spec, Edmonton's best science and fiction festival! We will be hosting the show's big Doctor Who 50th Anniversary from 2:45pm to 4:15pm on Sunday, November 17th, talking to fellow Whovians about the series both now and then, and offer their thoughts on the inevitably timey-whimey future. We're currently lining up guests for this extravaganza, which will be recorded as a decidedly irregular episode of the podcast, seeing how it will be live and fairly sober. So please, join us live and experience one of the best literary festivals Edmonton has to offer!

In which we celebrate the Eleventh Doctor by revealing which beverage is totally punk rock.

This week on the podcast, Danica and Brandon reveal their TV crushes, which episode was playing the night they met, and why they love Neil Gaiman. In terms of Who, they watched "The Wedding of River Song" (Series 6, Episode 13) and "Nightmare in Silver" (Series 7, Episode 13). Also, Lee Pace? Call us. We want to talk to you about Gallifrey High.

In which we celebrate all things Tennant in our Tennanth episode!

This week, Brandon and Danica are coming at you from the palatial Ramada Hotel in Westlock, Alberta, where there is an abundance of quiet and cows, but no shots. Still, they get drunk and talk Tennant (and Catherine Tate) as they watch "The Runaway Bride" (Series 3 Christmas Special) and "Turn Left" (Series 4, Episode 12). They also talk about how money is weird, and how Brandon has strange word gaps.

This week's outro is "Pocket Full of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield.
