Doctor Whooch (general)

In which we're not allowed to snog Byron.

On this week's show, Danica and Brandon are talking about another banger, "The Haunting of Villa Diodati", in which Jack friggen' Harkness' warning comes home to roost at an important point of literary history. It's GREAT!

On this week's episode Danica and Brandon dig into the Series 12 episode "Orphan 55" and folks, we're not gonna lie, the world is on fire and boy are we happy and terrified there's a show out there not pulling their sci-fi punches.

On this week's episode, we listen to an Eighth Doctor adventure, Blood of the Daleks, that has some similarities to a pair of episodes from the Russel "The" Davies run.

As Danica and Brandon bid a fond farewell to their season long guest, they all endure and episode where there is a lot of blood, and the world has two buttholes. Hold onto your butts, it's a wine episode!

On this week's show, Danica and Brandon bear witness to "The Empress of Mars" and gave Mark Gatiss the benefit of the doubt because they were drunk. Spoiler alert: they shouldn't have. Hey. Do you think an episode featuring the colonial British might be pretty racist? Well, at least there's treasures for them to steal. Also, penis metaphors.

On this week's show, Danica and Brandon struggle through "The Lie of the Land" and holy heck, are there far too many guns in this. Also: the monks are nothing but dumber versions of The Silence and so many things are garbage. And The Doctor is a dick on a boat, and off a boat. Whatever. MORE ALCOHOL PLEASE.

In which we’re fist deep in time spaghetti.

On this week’s show, Danica and Brandon are thrown into the deep end of Moffatisms as they try to swim through “The Pyramid At The End Of The World”. It doesn’t go well. They also get into Moffat really only using his own stuff unless an old bit of Who slots in, seemingly so he can take all the credit and be the best boy. Is that too harsh? Whatever. You love it.

Hey, remember that time The Doctor fucked a Pope? Well, Brandon and Danica do. Or at least they think they do. Brandon is also sure that Stephen Moffat got divorced, but that wasn't true so much as it FELT true. Anyway. On this week's show, they watch "Extremis" and it's not very good. You've been warned, I guess.

Hey buds. On this week’s show, Danica and Brandon are not cool with everyone being out in space again, and for good reason. Because… well, every episode of Doctor Who has danger, but space stuff usually involves murders and body snatching and that’s not their jam even slightly. Also, Brandon breaks out his amazing Nardole impression, and it’s preeeeetty spot on.

On this week’s show, Brandon and Danica travel to 1814 to see The Doctor and Bill fight Scaffolding in the Series 10 episode “Thin Ice”. In which we put a phrase in a mausoleum. And there’s a good chance that Brandon doesn’t know what a mausoleum actually is.

This week, Series 10 continues with the second episode “Smile”, and for the most part Brandon and Danica stay on topic. But then there’s the potential of Torchwood porn and alternative meanings for the BBC. And also Danica is horribly insensitive about British history, but to be fair, the British are history’s villain. Except when there are Nazis or sometimes the French.

They manage to stay on topic until Brandon comes up with a fantastic theory about the similarities between companions. You’ll have to listen to the episode, I’m not going to ruin it here for you. Who do you think I am? @SavedYouAClick? SIR OR MADAM, I AM OFFENDED.

We discuss this year's Doctor Who Christmas special in which folks unzip their heads and also there is a lot of Superman references that Steven Moffat googled a bit. As we do so, we go swiftly off the rails, just like the show did, and talk about chaperones going downtown, what constitutes a good bonkers, and how Ram is pretty useless, among other things.

So we all know what happens in this episode, right? Like, we're all on board? Because there's going to be some spoilers. Just... clllllll kinds of them. So.

This week, Brandon and Danica are talking about "Face The Raven" - the 10th episode of Doctor Who's 9th series. Maisie Williams is there! That's not really a spoiler. Well it is, but... hey, you know what? Let's not beat around the bush here. You know why you're downloading this. You want to hear drunk people talk about the thing that happened. Well, we do! So yay? Oh, and then we wax poetic about Jessica Jones, because you guys, Jessica Jones is amazing and heartbreaking. Yeah.

Outro music is "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult.

To sleep, perchance to dream of a better episode.

On this week's show, Danica and Brandon drunkenly talk about this week's... interesting episode of Doctor Who - Series 9, Episode 9, "Sleep No More". Basically, we kind of make fun of it, because... sleep monsters? Or maybe a legitimately viral video? Or something. We were pretty drunk.

And as an added bonus, Brandon forgot to edit the podcast on his day off, so uh... there's that. Wait, is that what we call a "bonus"? Hmm.

In which, uh... we really liked the new Doctor Who episode?

Hey everyone: fun fact. It's hard to be wacky drunks when an episode of Doctor Who is so good. Which means Danica and Brandon just watched Series 9, Episode 8 (The Zygon Inversion) and it was pretty amazing. That's not to say they aren't weird and stumbling, because they are. We are. Writing in the third person is hard, you guys. Also, they talk about some other shows probably. Scandal? I think? And something else. Remembering is also hard, when you WERE drunk, and ARE sober several days later.

Outro music is "War (What Is It Good For)" as performed by Cory and Topanga on Boy Meets World. Because of course it is.

In which we are brimming with allegories and metaphors, and totally know the difference between the two.

This week, Brandon and Danica are watching "The Zygon Invasion" (Series 9, Episode 7 of Doctor Who) and end up being drunkenly riveted by the whole episode. I mean really, you guys - this was a crackerjack episode. There was Osgood! Jokes! Doctor Funkenstein! Seriously, what more do you want? Some Once Upon a Time chatter? Maybe. Probably not, but we don't care. WE DON'T. (We do. We love you.)

In which we don't got nobody that we can depend on.

On this week's episode, Danica and Brandon stumble through the hodgepodge of Doctor Who's 6th episode of Series 9 - The Woman Who Lived. It's a bit of a shambles, honestly but there's also a fire breathing space lion king, so it's not as though there wasn't anything awesome to talk about. Oh, and also, there's discussion of Once Upon A Time and The Mindy Project, because of course there is.

In which the secret ingredient is vodka.

On this week's episode, Danica and Brandon are talking about the Series 9 episode "The Girl Who Died" (Episode 5) and the subject of jowls comes up. I guess. It was a long strange one. Also: lots of drinking! More talk about Once Upon A Time! And vikings! Not necessarily in that order.
